For the 50th anniversary of the Salone del Mobile, the fair that has come to be the epicenter of the global contemporary design market, they’re turning Milan into a giant stage to display what they do best. Among the attractions will be a retrospective of Italian design at the Triennale Design Museum and an eight-room installation at the Piazza Duomo.

A historic Georgian building in Somerset, England, three stories high, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slate roof. Completed in 1801. It has been restored — as a family house, for a modern family — by the London designer Ilse Crawford with stunning effect.
