Somefield aka Barnaby Ward
Thanks to Kitsune Noir I came across the work of Barbados based illustrator Barnaby Ward, who goes by the artsy name of somefield.
I was immediately drawn to his work and I really like his color choices. He recently came out with a graphic novel titled Sixteen Miles to Merricks and Other Works. It’s over 200 pages of illustrative goodness.

Charley Harper’s Owls
Charlie Harper was an American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized prints, posters and book illustrations.
Many of his illustrations are of wildlife and in particular birds. He created a style he described as ‘minimal realism’, abstracting nature to beautiful but basic shapes and form.

I just came across these fantastic images of illustrator Charley Harper in his Cincinnati home/studio. They were taken by designer, printmaker and journalist Harmen Liemburg when he visited Harper in 2006.
Harper's illustration style was clean and minimal. His work can easily be recognised by the simplistic forms of nature and wildlife, so I was absolutely shocked when I saw how packed and untidy his studio was!

Polish Book Covers
Those are Polish book covers from 70`s and 80`s. The graphics, typography and colours are fantastic. I love the swallow illustration which reminds me of Charley Harper's style.
That’s a refreshing take on book covers. Flat. Simple. Textural.
Over at the excellent blog Journey Round My Skull was posted an amazing collection of Polish book covers.
And here you can find archive of book covers design and designers from around the world.

Let's Colour Project by Dulux
‘Let’s colour project‘ is a DULUX tv campaign. If you haven’t seen it you can catch it below.
It’s pretty great and definitely worth a couple of minutes of your time. Yes, they really did do that. This 2 minute global film was shot by multi-award winning director Adam Berg over four weeks in Brazil, France, London and India. Every location is real and they remain transformed by a palette consisting of 120 different colours.
Music: 'Go Do' by Jonsi.
If you want to see exactly how they did it and how long it took you can find out here.

Resource Furniture: Italian-Designed Space Saving Furniture
Absolutely fantastic, hope the cost factor doesn't make it impossible for people of average salary.
I love the concept and design, especially that u don't have to clear your desk before transforming it into a bed.
