advertising photography by Christophe Gilbert

Photo manipulation is changing photos to create an illusion.
Christophe Gilbert truly believe that small details can make a huge difference.
Looking through his amazing portfolio of work, we're left speechless by the way he can manipulate liquids like paint and water.
"I turned to advertising photography nearly from the start, leading me to understand something else. It wasn't about what you see, or even how you see things anymore, but about how you wanted things to be seen. Pictures with a goal." - Christophe Gilbert

sculptor Frank Plant

Today a trip through the works of Barcelona based American sculptor Frank Plant.
After finishing his B.A. in fine arts in Philadelphia he moved to Amsterdam and during this period he began to develop his drawings in steel. These are simple and direct studies of the forms and compositions of everyday objects. Then Plant moved to Barcelona and began to diversify the materials he uses in his sculpture. Photography and painted wooden backgrounds, light boxes, motors, sensors, sound and music have all become integral parts of his sculptures.

I would love to hang one of these up on my wall.

Rocking Slippers by Yael Mer

The Rocking Slippers by Yael Mer are a melding of domestic shoes and a small rocking stool. Obviously, it's more rocking stool than shoe.

And here some great design of raw-edges
collaboration between Yael Mer & Shay Alkalay . Yael’s main focus includes turning two-dimensional sheet materials into curvaceous functional forms, whereas Shay is fascinated by how things move, function and react. Together they work under the name Raw-Edges and share a common goal to create objects that have never been seen before.
